Product Description:

The Stron Smart Data Concentrator Unit, model STC18-A, is specifically developed for smart metering applications. It functions as a gateway that facilitates communication between metering devices and the AMR/AMI system, ensuring smooth data exchange and management.

The STC18-A supports two-way communication between metering points and the AMR/AMI system. It is equipped to handle task configuration, data collection, data transmission, and data storage. Additionally, it manages meters, executes GPRS-related tasks, and oversees RF network management to maintain efficient operation.

The model ST368 leverages the LORA-RF communication technology effectively for downlink transmissions to smart meters. For uplink communication, it utilizes GPRS, ensuring reliable and efficient data transfer within the smart metering infrastructure.

For uplink communication, the system utilizes GPRS technology to connect with a head-end AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) or AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) system, facilitating seamless data integration.

Collected data includes total consumption as well as historical daily and monthly consumption records, providing comprehensive usage insights.

The solution also features real-time meter parameter monitoring, status updates, and immediate data reading capabilities. Additionally, tamper events are automatically recorded and uploaded for enhanced security.

Installation is straightforward and convenient, thanks to the design optimized for BS mounting.


Technical Parameters:

Data Concentrate Unit

The Data Concentrate Unit is designed to efficiently gather data, featuring two available sizes: 2G and 4G. It operates within a voltage range of AC 160V to 300V, making it adaptable to various electrical environments.

This unit supports a frequency range from 45Hz to 65Hz and functions optimally within a temperature span of -25℃ to 70℃. Additionally, it can withstand humidity levels up to 95%, ensuring reliable performance in diverse conditions.

Equipped with advanced communication modules, the device supports both GPRS and LORA-RF technologies. It includes an RS485 port that operates at a speed of 115200bps, facilitating efficient data transmission.

The Data Concentrate Unit can connect up to 300 meters and handles a maximum operating current of 500mA. In sleeping mode, its current consumption is minimal, around 0.2mA, which helps in conserving energy.

With a downlink communication range extending to 1000 meters, the unit boasts dimensions of 158mm by 110mm by 71mm. For optimal performance, it should be installed in an open area free from obstacles through suspension installation.


Applications:

The shell of the device is constructed from environmentally friendly materials that are pollution-free, ensuring safety and reliability for users.

The exterior design boasts an IP54 protection rating, providing effective resistance against water and dust. Additionally, there are five LED indicators that display the current status of the DCU. The device is equipped with a 433MHz extended antenna, which significantly enhances the communication range and stability for centralized meter reading.

Internally, the device features a switched power supply characterized by a wide voltage operating range and reduced weight. The GPRS module is housed in a separate box with an external transparent clamshell protection, which improves the security and durability of the module.

The DCU fully complies with STS certification standards. It is manufactured following ISO9001 and ISO14001 quality management systems, guaranteeing the product’s reliability and stability, as well as effectively extending the service life of the DCU.
